I think that my values and actions pretty much represent my labels. I feel like I am all of the labels I have listed and that I dont feel those would be inaccurate, just a litlle vague. I think they are closely connected because the things you do in life reflect who you are/how you feel on the inside. So if you label your actions they will be accurate most of the time on who you are. Labeling is an easy way to asses someone quickly without having to even ask them what they do or value because your actions correlate with your label. Also, I think people label so they can find other people with the same label and connect with them.

My people are with their family,

whether its bickering or loving

they are at work providing for their families

they are leaving love notes for their spouses

they are driving in the middle of the night to see someone

they are across the ocean

they are getting married

they are sick

they are singing

they are devoted

they are my family.

  1. Good observation about people trying to relate to others through labels/categories- as an indentifier- as well as labels sometimes being vague. Nice poem. :)
